Condition Grading Guide
We grade used gear consistently to keep things transparent. Your listing description always has the final, item-specific details.
Cameras
Body condition focuses on wear to the exterior, hot shoe, buttons/dials, screens, and grips. Sensor notes (if any) are always listed.
NEW Factory-sealed / unused ⌄
Factory-sealed, never used, in original packaging with all accessories.
NEAR MINT Virtually no wear ⌄
Virtually new with no noticeable signs of wear.
- Buttons/dials, hot shoe, and screens appear very clean
- May or may not include original packaging/accessories (see listing)
NEAR MINT MINUS Light cosmetic wear ⌄
Near brand-new condition with only light cosmetic wear.
- Sensor, buttons, hot shoe, and screen(s) are clean and close to flawless
- Any scuffs/scratches are minimal and typically only visible under bright light
EXCELLENT PLUS Minor wear ⌄
Lightly used with minor cosmetic signs of wear.
- Sensor is clean and free of marks
- Buttons, hot shoe, and screen(s) in excellent condition
- May have faint marks or slight finish loss, but overall outstanding
EXCELLENT Moderate, normal use ⌄
Moderate wear consistent with regular use.
- May have scuffs, minor dings, or finish wear
- Hot shoe and buttons show mild use
- LCD screen may have light dust or minor marks
- Sensor remains clean and free of marks (unless noted)
GOOD Noticeable wear ⌄
Noticeable signs of wear, but fully usable unless stated otherwise.
- More pronounced scratches, dings, and/or finish loss
- Rubber grips may be slightly loose
- Hot shoe reflects heavier prior use
- LCD screen(s) may show prominent wear (scratches/marks)
- Possible dust in viewfinder
Any functional issue will be clearly disclosed in the listing description.
FAIR Heavy wear ⌄
Heavy cosmetic wear with significant scuffs, dents, or paint wear.
- LCD may be worn and not perfectly clear
- Tripod mount could be worn/damaged; pop-up flash may not operate
- Possible light corrosion/bending on hot shoe or inside battery compartment
- Rubber grips can be loose or missing
If anything impacts function, it will be disclosed on the listing.
FOR PARTS / AS-IS Non-functional ⌄
Camera Lenses
Lens condition covers cosmetics + optics. Minor internal dust can be normal. Anything that could affect image quality is disclosed.

GOOD Noticeable wear ⌄
Noticeable signs of wear, but usable unless otherwise noted.
- More pronounced wear on barrel and mount
- Any marks on glass do not impact image quality (unless stated)
- Light internal dust/moisture may be present
- Rubber grips may be slightly loose; small amount of play possible
If optics are affected (haze/fungus/impact), it will be clearly disclosed.
FAIR Heavy wear / may affect IQ ⌄
Heavy cosmetic wear with significant scuffs, dents, or paint wear.
- Glass may contain haze, fungus, or marks that could affect image quality
- Mount exhibits heavy wear
- Internal dust/moisture may be present
- Grips may be loose/missing; barrel may have slight play
- Focus ring may feel stiff but remains operational
